More Photoshop

Inspired by Caravan Media, an indie label here in DeLand. I usually need something concrete before I start (not a fan of the abstracts), so I decided to use the name.

This is also my personal take on the old Camel Cigarette boxes, which I think are pretty stylish. You can see the original here. Details after the break.

This is probably my most creative piece yet: no tutorials here! I assembled the pyramid and camel from real pictures and just used filters to create the drawn look. The camel didn't look like part of the picture, which I kinda liked, so I just added the drop shadow to intensify the effect. The columns are from an illustration I had to chop up like hell then apply a color overlay. I used the pen tool to draw the horizon. You might notice that I'm cheap and used the eyedropper tool to get the colors from the original picture.

All in all this took about 4 hours of work, probably due to the fact that I'm still new at this Photoshop thing and was getting out of the kiddie pool with this one. In the end, I'm pretty satisfied. Let me know what you guys think.
